Cyberpunk 2077, What's the deal?

The release of Cyberpunk 2077 was formidable from CDProjekt's perspective, the owner company of the majestic video game, and arguably the best game of all time, The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt.

Following the great success which The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has brought into the gaming world, CDProjekt announced in 2013 a teaser trailer which indicated that a great game is on the way.

The media and the whole gaming world went and are still going crazy about this game, before and after the release! Fans were so hyped, it's the niche for every Youtuber to do some Cyberpunk content lately and of course, a great success in terms of income for CDPR.

Cyberpunk 2077 sold 8 million copies (preorders)

However, there's been a huge backlash from the fans, as the game is full of technical issues, ranging from horrible performances, to glitches and bugs... which I am sure that CDPR can handle in due time.

That was the case with the release of The Witcher 3 on consoles, the game required a few patches here and there, and at the end, we could all play TW3 happily ever after!

The early stages of The Witcher 3:

On the release of TW3 Wild Hunt, the game was badly optimized across all platforms, PS4 and Xbox One, some major frame drops, and horrible performance. However, CDPR tackled this issue neatly after a few attempts, and the final result was a smooth and beautiful experience. Further analysis by DigitalFoundry like always (2015) in the video below :

The smooth 30 FPS we'd all been waiting for.

Technical issues Cyberpunk 2077:

Like its predecessor, the giant Cyberpunk 2077 is not free of the bugs and issues that clutched TW3 at the beginning, albeit Cyberpunk 2077 took it a bit further.

In this latter, the game is absolutely unplayable on old gen consoles (by that we mean PS4 and Xbox One).

Deep analysis of the game running on PS4:

Can PS4 run Cyberpunk 2077?

Absolutely not, as of now.

If playing a game at 15-20 Fps wouldn't give you headaches, then nothing will.

However, on gaming computers, they seem to fare nice based on your GPU and CPU.

A high-end gaming PC will perform not bad, but it could be a lot better...

There's a big difference between the demo showcased before the release vs the final game, some of it is rather interesting and positive, and some of it is the opposite.

As shown in the video above, we can conclude that the graphics have improved by a bit as compared to the earlier demo, however, the NPCs' interaction has been downgraded a lot. NPCs don't seem to be interactive and their reaction is horrible...

As a conclusion... I'd like to share my own video on Cyberpunk 2077.

A short comparison video between low, medium and high settings, in order to find your sweet spot while taking into consideration the graphics settings and a mid-range hardware.

CONCLUSION

It's rather a bold statement, this game is unfinished, and it requires tons of improvement, and it has to be put back into more careful analysis and refurbishment.

One point is clear, the game should have been DELAYED.

As usual, keep gaming!
